Every girl needs denim trousers in their closet, period. I cannot tell you how much I love these. First of all, I get to wear comfy wedges and look way tall. Second of all, I love the way they sit on my hips and fit my boyish body type. The combination of a high waist and a tucked in shirt helps elongate my body. For a girl 5 feet tall, this is a dream.
You might shy away from trousers because of the scary wide leg, but I can assure you, they do wonders to all body types. My current mission, find a petite pair from Ann Taylor (I’ve heard good things). Have you found a pair you love, if so, what brands?

I’m jealous of you for being able to pull off two things I can’t: hats and trousers with wide legs. These two things just don’t work for me but they’re definitely working for you!

You look super chic. Love the trousers. In terms of dressier trousers I have a wide leg pair that I really like from J Crew in ‘Flax’. It’s a beige linen and super comfy. I had to get the waist taken in but worth the $$

I love this look and you are totally rocking that panama hat! I use trousers as a way to wear my tallest wedges too– not only does it look cute (and I gain some height) but I save myself hemming fees! Normal trousers tend to not fit me so I go with a dark wash of wide leg/flare style denim for the same look. I have a pair from Gap and LOFT that I love!

I found a fantastic pair at Gap that still had enough flare after being hemmed! I’m only 5’3″. Also got them on sale for $10. Nailed it.

Perfect outfit! I’m 4’11″ so I love Ann Taylor or Ann Taylor LOFT petite trousers (or anything AT, really). I’m super-frugal so I try waiting for everything to go on sale before I buy!
