Spring!

I love that we have a holiday at the end of April to celebrate pastels. Yes, we may have just entered into spring and all the fabulous neon yellows, bright pinks, and cobalt blues are out and about, but there’s something about soft pastels I can’t ignore. With Easter Sunday around the corner, I thought I’d share my list of pretty, candy colored pastels that are sure to get you in the mood for peeps, egg hunting, and Easter baskets.

Reiss Spring/Summer Lookbook

images via

Look what I spotted… Reiss Spring/Summer 2011 Collection, gorgeous right? The neutral colors with a bit of print and a splash of color is perfect in so many ways (sigh). Not to mention, the quality fabrics, clean lines, and feminine touches make the collection so dreamy yet easy and wearable. I might need every single dress above, especially the shift dresses . Now, if the weather would just cooperate!

Stripes + Pockets

We all know I adore stripes. When you add them to a dress with pockets, I find myself wanting one in every style and color. I love the versatility; pair the long sleeve Aimee dress (bottom right) with tights for the colder days and the Theory racerback tank dress (top right) is flowy and light, perfect for spring. At least one of these is going on my must-have list! Am I right or am I right?

Runway to Reality

I’m head over heels for Jil Sander’s Spring 2011 collection and I know a bunch of you have expressed these same feelings… the stripes, colors, and structure are to die. But what I love most are the “major skirts and minor tops.” Who would have thought the combination of couture-like skirts and white-t’s could look so chic?  And to top it off, the two basic separates help make this look so wearable for folks like you and I  (I know we’ve all had our hands on a maxi skirt and a plain white-t ).

The ladies here show us how to transform the look from runway to reality. What do you think, love it or hate it?

Spring Trends

Ok, not to complain too much (I know the weather is so much worse everywhere else), but non-stop rain is just not cute! Don’t get me wrong, love the coats, rain boots, and packing on the layers, but rain all day for 3 days straight is no fun. With that being said, I decided to boycott the weather with a little glimpse into spring fashion.

Whether it’s a pop of color, print, lace, or bright whites, we are sure to break out of our winter coats and retire our umbrellas just in time for spring! You’ll definitely catch me in a vibrant color or anything white, but  still trying to find the perfect trouser and a pinch of lace (let me know of any recs).

Will you be wearing any of these trends?
