More oftentimes than not, if you saw me running errands in the city or heading to lunch, you’d find me in a variation of this outfit. As you can tell from the majority of the outfit posts on this blog, I’m really big on keeping things comfortable, pretty casual, and most importantly real life. Sometimes I think an outfit isn’t ‘worthy’ enough of snapping a few photos to go up on the blog (like this one), but then I go back to the authenticity of this blog… this is what I’m really wearing. At the end of the day, I think the reason we read and follow fashion/style blogs is to find real life inspiration in any and all forms.
What do you think?

I love seeing real life daily wears like these! Dressing up is fun to look at, but often I’m more inspired by seeing what I can actually wear in my own life too! Love this casual Sunday look!
Perfect for San Francisco! This city has such a casual vibe, so yes… this definitely is inspirational.

I wasn’t going to do an outfit post on my own blog today because I felt it wasn’t worthy! Then I read your wise words and it inspired me to post today
I even gave you credit and quoted you in the post. Thanks for the inspiration!

Personally, I adore this outfit and I love the authenticity behind your blog! Your style is casual but chic and because you actually wear it in your “everyday life” it’s why I like coming back to your blog. =)
This is a great casual “running errands” outfit. Even though the palette is neutral, it reads feminine to me with how you paired your outfit with the scarf and fun glitter sandals. Just great for the foggy SF weather we had recently!

hey crystalin,
i completely get where you are coming from, i feel the same way when i wear a casual or ‘boring’ outfit – it’s like ‘who’s going to want to see this’? but it’s important to stay true to who you are and i think that readers actually like to see bloggers wearing casual outfits because it’s really relatable. that’s how i feel anyways! keep it up!

I honestly love your style and love the fact that you don’t go over the top crazy like some other bloggers. Don’t get me wrong I think fashion is an artform and I appreciate people putting together crazy, wild inspired outfits. But at the end of the day looks like yours are classy, well put together and still inspired!
Love this post.
Sometimes (like you) I up the fashion ante, but more often than not I’m all about tried-and-true skinny jeans and a casual/put-together top and accessories. Love that you post all variations of outfits, not just super-dressy ones as inspiration comes from everything. BTW your grey sweater is the perfect shade!
Cute! I agree with u on that -even though there are times my outfits don’t feel worthy but then I remember it’s my style (comfort and easy) great look and love that bag!

Perfect little SF summer outfit.
And this is why I love our blog. You inspire me to reinvent basics in my closet and it’s realistic for me to try and mix things up without pusshing it beyond my comfort zone. Don’t second guess yourself when considering posting an outfit!
so my kind of weekend style! And I totally agree with your blogging philosophy- it’s all about real life inspiration! Happy 4th! http://www.casualglamorous.com
I love the simplicity of this outfit! Great bag too.
I am you newest follower. I’d love if you follow Blush

I think, at least for me, feeling put together day to day is more of a challenge. I’m new to your blog, and fashion blogs but the posts are daily style are sometimes the ones I enjoy most. Love it! Also envy your weather, it’s 101 here in Chicago. A long sleeve sweater or shirt makes me nostalgic!
Love the look! It’s so hot where I live I can hardly even think about wearing long sleeves and a scarf…but you do make it look tempting
I completely agree! I love seeing stylish gals just doing their thing… not putting up a “blog” front… but it is harder to do the “simple” outfits. But keep doing them! Also, I CRAVE jeans and a l/s top, it’s SO hot here… this looks like an amazing outfit to wear right now!
I love how simple and wearable this look and your style is. Its chic and not overdone. I strive for the same look on my blog. Im no model, and i like to inspire and be inspired by real women with style. I can’t wait til fall arrives. Its been too hot for any kind of layering lol.
