Sweatshirt Chic

{Out of Print Clothing sweatshirt, Zara jacket, J Brand jeans (love these), Aldo Romelia pumps, 3.1 Phillip Lim pashli satchel, Juicy Couture rhinestone necklace}

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? I cannot tell you how excited I am that the 49ers won! Although I wasn’t able to watch it, I caught the highlights and… what a game! Cannot wait for next week’s NFC championship game. After an all day event in Sonoma on Saturday (The Lab Event), Mike and I spent the rest of the weekend catching up on sleep, running errands, and curling up on the couch for some more football. Hey, those all day things, kick your butt!

p.s. I’m having a moment with sweatshirts… loving them with more feminine pieces (statement necklace or heels). I want to buy every gray sweatshirt out there, it’s bad. And obviously, still on the distressed skinny jean kick.

TGIF

Happy Friday! What are you up to this weekend? Along with some other fabulous ladies, I have the pleasure of walking in runway at The Lab Event on Saturday. I haven’t really thought twice about it, but now that we’re one day away, I’m getting pretty nervous about the walking part. Unfortunately, the day and time fall right when the 49ers and Packers kick off. Complete sad face… I guess I can’t have it all, right? The rest of the weekend is unplanned. I’m thinking we’ll sleep in, watch football, and maybe tackle a DIY for the apartment.

I hope you have a great weekend. Wish me luck in not falling and if you’re going to The Lab Event, I hope to see you there!

Review: SheInside

{Navy Draped Collar Geo Tribal Pattern Open Cardigan}

{Black Lapel Long Sleeve Ouch Cardigan Sweater}

As mentioned in last week’s post, today I’m going to follow up on my review of SheInside. In general I’m really happy with their service and product and will probably purchase from them again. Both cardigans I ordered are ‘one size fits all.’ I know that sounds impossible, but I could totally see them fitting multiple sizes. The gray lapel cardigan fits big on me, a little over-sized  but still works (seen here). The tribal pattern cardigan fits in the arms and shoulders but the draping is kinda long… but then again still works. You see what I mean? In general, I think both of these pieces could work on someone who’s an XS and likes things a bit over-sized (me) and even someone who wears a medium.

The quality is good for the price. I say comparable to Urban Outfitters… As far as the shipping, it took quite a long time, but went pretty smoothly. From order date to delivery, it took 18 days. The confirmation information on their website was kinda confusing, so I emailed their support and was pleasantly surprised when I received a quick response. Monica gave me the proper confirmation link and number and was extremely helpful.

Not bad, right? Honestly, their products and customer service exceeded my expectations. If you’ve been hesitant, I’d say go for it. They have way too many cute things at great prices to not give it a try.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask away in the comments. Also, if you’ve ordered from them before, I’d love to hear about your experience!

I have what I like to call a love/hate relationship with cooking. They’re weeks I’m totally stumped and feel I eat the same thing everyday… other weeks (like the past couple and you can tell from my Instagram) I cook up a storm.  They’re several factors that go into this relationship. One I’m vegan and gf… and let’s get real, how many dishes can you make? Two, I’m not a great cook… I like things to be simple, so I don’t experiment with different ingredients that much. And third, a lot of times I’m making two meals. One for me and one for my guy (he is not gf or vegan). In the grand scheme of things, these issues are trivial and I mean, it’s just food, but I would love to hear how you get out of your cooking funk? How many times a week do you cook vs. eat out? What are some of your go-to meals?

Canadian Tuxedo

{Gap trench coat (similar), BDG chambray shirt, J Brand jeans, Schutz leopard booties, Michael Kors necklace (similar), Poshlocket bangles c/o,  3.1 Phillip Lim satchel}

Jeans have proven to be a tough buy for me. Over the holiday break I tried on several pairs of J brand and Rag and Bone destroyed skinny jeans (these and these) and had no luck. The rips in the knees hit my shins and the sizing was not consistent. After a disappointing search, I ended up on Ebay snagging these DIY’d destroyed J Brand jeans at a super discounted price. I normally wouldn’t buy jeans on Ebay, but they were my size, the right length, and the destroyed knee would hit me at the right spot. Meant to be much? The best part, they’re butter soft and suck in in all the right spots. Ebay to the rescue!

For all you other petite/short gals, how’s your search going for the perfect destroyed skinny jeans?

And We’re Back…

The guy went back to work this morning which meant an early wake up call. Mike’s had two weeks off, so we’ve kinda been sleeping in until 9ish…oops (I could barely pry my eyes open today)! I’ve also been sick for the last 5 days, so it feels nice to start my Monday off right and finally get back to regular scheduled posting here.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! P.s. for those of you wondering, I will be posting about my shopping experience with SheInside later this week.
