{Gap oxford shirt, belt (similar), + jeans (similar), SheInside coat c/o, J.Crew Everly pumps, unknown pendant necklace, 3.1 Phillip Lim satchel}

Masculine pieces and basics have definitely become a recurring theme in my wardrobe. If you took a peek into my closet you’d see mostly oxford button up shirts, sweatshirts, tee shirts, jeans, neutral colors, basic sweaters, stripes… and not too many frills or dresses. I’ve always gravitated toward simple silhouettes that are borderline androgynus, but I never had the confidence or know how to fully embrace it until recently. In the past year, I’ve really come to know what I’m most comfortable and confident in and I think I’ve found the perfect balance of masculine meets feminine for me. I knew I was collecting menswear inspired button up shirts and crew neck sweaters for a reason… just took me a couple of years to realize it.

I love this look… this is something I would be thrilled to wear EVERYDAY!
A new post on ways to actually wear spring runway trends in real life is up on Local & Opulent.

@Bettina- Thank you! I hope to do a hair tutorial soon…as far as volume, I’ve tried different things and the best thing that works for me is flipping upside down and blow drying when my hair is wet haha.
Such a great look Crystalin! I love all of the masculine pieces styled in a feminine and effortless way. Definitely a fab everyday look!

You look fantastic (and are so gorgeous!!)
Love the coat! Was actually thinking about purchasing it, any tips on sizing. Thanks.
@Jennifer- Thank you! SheInside runs a bit small. My coat is a size small and fits me perfectly, but I’m petite (only 5ft). Hope that helps
Love it! I do too came to truly understand my style recently, I just love neutrals, period. And I’m all about simple pieces that are comfortable
PS: I NEED a pair of distressed black jeans asap!
That’s so funny, we totally ARE Gap Oxford twins today! haha I really want to get the light blue one now too…
I used to try and fight the fact that I naturally gravitate towards button downs, but now I embrace it, and you are definitely wonderful inspiration for me! Love this look pretty lady!
