Weekend Recap

{down time for a little mani, Pinterest, and hot tea} {yummy Thai food} {drinks with girlfriends at Absinthe} {met this little pup on Saturday} {drinks in San Jose with the boy’s friends} {treats to cap off the weekend} Boy, I wish it was Sunday all over again. It might be my favorite day of the week. Anyway, how was your weekend? Although busy, it was nice seeing both sides of the family and friends in the South Bay on Saturday. Sunday we were back in the city eating burritos, grabbing sorbet and gelato, and watching the NBA playoffs. In other news, I’m beyond excited for the Bachelorette premiere tonight! Anyone else an avid watcher? I’m not gonna like, reality TV Monday’s are the best, ha. Happy Monday!

Weekend Recap

{we may have had Mexican food Fri-Sun} {yummy nachos for the boy} {Ferry Building Farmer’s Market and beautiful weather on Saturday} {Tony’s Pizzeria with friends} This past weekend consisted of margaritas, Mexican food, and a ton of sunshine. No joke, it felt like summer! Saturday we had the pleasure of walking down to North Beach with friends for a late night dinner at Tony’s Pizza. The weather was perfection and the walk from Nob Hill to North Beach, um hello, STUNNING! I finally got to try their Marina pizza and it was to die for (yes, even without cheese). Their dough is out of this world. A must try for those of you visiting Sf. This week is insanely busy, but I can’t wait meet up with old and new friends for drinks on one of the warmest weeks this year. I hope your weekend included mint juleps and/or margaritas and a ton of tacos and guacamole. Happy Monday =)

Weekend Recap

{started the weekend off with margaritas at our fav local spot} {first stop, Gloria Ferrer in Sonoma} {had lunch in downtown Napa} {Artesa Vineyards & Winery} {amazing ambiance at Artesa} {had dinner at Fume Bistro and Bar} Our little weekend getaway to Napa could not have been more perfect. We stopped at a couple wineries, ate amazing food, drank fantastic wine (and other things), shopped, and snuck in some playoff basketball. And to top it off, the weather was amazing. I’d have to say, every now and then, a complete change of scenery with a glass of wine in hand is not only relaxing, but necessary. It was such a beautiful weekend. Happy birthday to my love and best friend (it was officially yesterday). I hope you enjoyed your weekend. Happy Monday!

Weekend Recap

{happy hour at The Brixton} {ice cold sauvignon blanc on a warm Friday afternoon = bliss} {beauty in all directions} {sippin’ mimosas on a beautiful Saturday at Fort Mason} {sun bathing with the rest of sf} {we met Lilly at the park. cutest toy poodle ever!} {sushi dinner date on Fillmore} {late afternoon stroll in our neighborhood} Happy Monday! How was your weekend? The bf and I spent the majority of ours soaking up as much sunshine as possible. Saturday we sipped mimosas and met a slew of new dog friends at Fort Mason park, enjoyed a big bowl of strawberry sorbet, and then took an afternoon stroll through our neighborhood for sushi on Fillmore. Probably the best warm weather day I could ask for. In good ol San Francisco fashion, Sunday the fog rolled in so we spent the day running errands, watching basketball, and lounging. We’re headed to Napa this weekend for the bf’s birthday so I’m hoping this week flies by… Cheers to a great week friends!

Weekend Recap

{no weekend is complete without vino} {bread overdose, but loving every second of it!} {my favorite pizza at Delarosa} {beautiful tulips at the farmer’s market} {the beginning of strawberry season is here!} {ended the weekend with Korean food} {vegan heaven here} Waking up to sunshine this morning makes Monday so much better already. How was your weekend, do anything fun? The bf and I spent Friday date night indulging in a good amount of bread… it’s not something I do often because of my wheat allergy, so I enjoyed every bite! The rest of the weekend was spent getting the little things done; hit the gym, made a trip downtown, stopped by the farmers market, and cleaned out and organized my entire closet. Boy does it feel good to get rid of the old and make space for the new. In other news, I finally updated the menu bar with FAQs and Advertising + Policies. Be sure to check them out.  Wishing everyone a happy Monday!

Weekend Recap {foodie edition}

{potato, mushroom, asparagus tacos from Tacolicious} {soy cafe au lait and white mocha in North Beach} {finally made it to Tony’s Pizza for date night} {gf vegan pizza with kalamata olives and calabrese peppers} {the bf got the ‘Barcelona’… yes, with scrambled eggs. Said it was the best pizza he’s ever had} {bottomless mimosas and yummy wine on Easter} {gf tomato basil pasta. best I’ve ever had!} Hi! How was your Easter weekend? Apparently, I ate my way through mine. Me and the gym will be best friends this week. Saturday the bf and I spent date night in North Beach. The weather wasn’t too breezy or cold so we enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the always crowded Columbus street, tucked into a quaint cafe for coffee, and finally sat down at Tony’s Pizza (I’m pretty sure this place is famous, no?). The wait was cray cray (what were we thinking trying to get in on a Saturday during a holiday weekend?). Their gluten free pizza was good, not great. I think I’ll suffer the consequences of trying their regular Italian crust next time… seeing as though the bf said it was the best crust he’s ever had and I’m a crust kinda girl. We will be back, without the gluten free part =) Easter was spent in Livermore with my side of the family. Bocce ball, bottomless mimosas, and my favorite pasta, tomato basil.  Undoubtedly, a great food weekend. I’m off to tackle Monday’s to-do list … Cheers to a great week!

Weekend Recap

{date night at a new-to-us Thai restaurant on Polk} {officially spring!} {two of my favorite indulgences: chips and salsa and soy misto} {breakfast outside at The Plant on the one day we had sunshine} {so much goodness here} I could not have asked for a better weekend! We started it off with a yummy meal at a new-to-us Thai restaurant a couple blocks from our apartment and then made it to the Hunger Games. I have not read the books (the bf has), but I was not disappointed one bit. SO GOOD! Sunday we woke up to beautiful sunshine (finally)! Windy yes, but we spent the majority of the day outside with a walk to the Marina, breakfast at The Plant, and then a little shopping. We ended our night with a the two of us in the kitchen cooking dinner, which to me is always the perfect way to end the weekend… It was one of those days that made you feel reassured the city you live in is the perfect city for you and the man you live with is your perfect match. Aaaahh, such a good day! Alright that’s enough of my sappiness … Hope your weekend was filled with friends, family, wine and good food. Cheers to a great week!

Weekend Recap

{let me introduce you to Charlotte in mixed metals. this beauty and more can be found here} {attended Chris and Karen’s 2nd wedding}| {stopped by Santana Row} {pretty, sparkly dresses in the window} {latest finds} {finally saw some sun yesterday} This past weekend the bf and I headed down to the South bay for Chris and Karen’s wedding part II. Although it rained cats and dogs, it was great to see friends, reunite with the Costa Rica clan, and let loose on the dance floor (I think my feet are still recovering). While I was down there, you know I had to stop by the always-pretty-Santana Row. Sometimes shopping is the perfect Sunday morning remedy after a late night =) Hope you had a lovely weekend!

Weekend Recap

{weekend cravings…} {mixing two necklaces… will be featured in an outfit post soon} {Victoria’s beautiful St. Patty’s Day spread} {cute drink cards} {Irish car bombs being poured} {Victoria’s home is beautiful!} {yummy bites from Tacko} This past weekend was spent mostly working and finishing up a couple projects. But, the bf and I did make it to Victoria’s fabulous St. Patrick’s Day party Saturday night. As seen from pics above, there were plenty of drinks, yummy appetizers, and cute details… did I mention there was a lot of booze? Yes, I suffered for most of the day yesterday, but nothing a little Mexican food couldn’t fix. I will say, a day full of boozing can leave Monday feeling a bit more dreadful. In better more postive news, we’re entering in the first week of Spring! Cannot wait for warmer weather and sunshine =) Hope you all had a wonderful weekend/St. Patrick’s Day!

Weekend Recap

{yummy salads and grilled artichokes at Asqew grill} {my all time favorite strawberry sorbet} {finally found a great veg friendly Korean restaurant. Manna on Irving street} {frolicking around the city… } {playing with color combos} Anyone else feeling a bit exhausted with the time change? Took me a minute to pry my eyes open this morning especially in the pitch black dark …. I’ll be in need of several cups of coffee today. Anyway, how was your weekend? The bf and I stayed pretty low key, however, instead of enjoying the fruits of labor in home cooked meals, as mentioned in the last post,  we adventured into some new restaurants (new to us). Asqew Grill down in the Marina has definitely flown under our radar. We pass by it all the time, but never once thought to stop in (apparently, The Plant next door has all my attention). They have amazing salads and grilled veggies, but also amazing healthy options for all you non vegans, aka, the bf. In other food news, the bf and I finally made it to Manna, a Korean restaurant we’ve been meaning to try. A very small place, but very good. I only eat a few things when eating Korean, so when I say it was good, I mean serous business. Overall, a very satisfying couple of days… now, off to make lists and be productive! Oh yes, be sure to check out what I’m currently craving over on One Stylish Day at a Time.
