Wow, where did this week go? Between potty training, changing potty pads, giving doggy treats, rolling around on the ground, all while working, honestly, I can’t tell the days apart. Oh, I didn’t mention the lack of sleep.. this girl normally gets at least 8 hours, puppy reality check much? While Lola is doing really well (already climbing onto the couch with a little pillow assistance) this mama is beat! Mike warned me it was a lot of work, but I had no idea how hands on you have to be during these puppy stages. Despite being a bit overwhelmed, I know this age doesn’t last forever and I’m thankful to be able to spend every day with her watching her grow and becoming apart of our little family.
We don’t have too many things planned this weekend as miss Lola still needs the rest of her shots to really go anywhere. So, lots of playtime inside it is! I hope you all have a wonderfully relaxing weekend. See you back here Monday!
p.s. Lola loves seeing herself in the mirror, it’s become a thing.

High Waisted
I was recently gifted a high waisted bikini and I absolutely adore the retro style! I wasn’t sure how the high waisted bottoms would fit my small frame, but I actually think it’s quite flattering. Unfortunately, the boyfriend is NOT a fan of the style… I guess I can add it to the list of not-so-boyfriend approved lol. What do you think, love it or hate it? Will you try the high waisted brief?
In vacation news, Mike and I are off to beautiful Santa Barbara on Sunday (the city where we met 8 or so years ago). I will have my regular scheduled posts going up, so be sure to stop by.

Yesterday’s photo shoot in the city left me so exhausted I went to bed at 9:30 pm last night. HELLO early! If you have no clue what I’m talking about, click here. Hey, model duties get rough. OBVIOUSLY, just kidding. Since I had quite the busy day yesterday, we rescheduled our Valentine’s Day dinner for this Saturday… plus the crowds and pre-fixed menus are not our thing.
This weekend is shaping up to be a good one. The weather is supposed to be amazing! There’s a group of us who are joining a coed indoor soccer team in March, so Saturday we’re going to start kicking the ball around. I haven’t played in years and Mike’s never played… it should be all-sorts-of-fun. We’re also getting down to business on my office. Moving furniture, painting a wall, and getting all the extra nonsense out. I hope to share our progress next week.

TGIF + Sneak Peek
Of course the days I want to snap photos of our finished DIY for the blog, it’s dark and gloomy outside, aka extremely dark in the living room. I took some shots with lights on, but hated most of them. In an effort to not leave you hanging, here’s a photo with a spruced up Instagram filter. I hope to get some natural light next week so I can actually do a post and share my experience.
In happier news, happy Friday! What are you up to this weekend? Mike and I don’t have anything on the books, but I’m hoping to tackle a new recipe tonight, hit the gym, and learn how to spray paint like a pro… I have a feeling everything I own will be gold by the end of the week!

Happy Friday! Doing anything fun for the long weekend? Mike and I don’t have too many things going on, thank goodness. We’re doing dinner and a movie (Silver Linings Playbook) tonight, watching both playoff games Sunday, and tackling some DIY art projects for the apartment. The living and dining room walls are so bare, it’s embarrassing! Oh yeah, and since the weather is finally warming up, I’m thinking we’ll head to the track and get a much needed workout in.
