This week has been rough. Between allergies, body aches, stomach aches, and no sleep I’m so ready for the weekend. The boy and I will be celebrating a birthday and Mother’s Day down in the South Bay Saturday and then hopefully Sunday will be dedicated to relaxation and sunshine. What do you have planned? {this is what happens when the weather warms up – lunching al fresco, Japantown with the fam, and a walk through the park} This week has been one of those weeks where Friday could not have come sooner. I think I’m a bit worn out and on Internet and media overload. I cannot wait to unplug and enjoy the beautiful weather we’re having (finally). I’m hoping a workout, picnic in the park that includes a good read and mimosas, and a couple good meals will help me rest and recharge. What do you have planned?

Have any fun plans this weekend? The bf and I have a little date night planned tonight, which includes The Hunger Games and dinner… a pretty perfect night in my eyes. Other than a birthday down in the South Bay tomorrow, I’m hoping for a much needed relaxing couple days off. I wouldn’t mind a trip to the Farmers Market, a walk in the neighborhood, blog reading, and coffee in bed… Have a lovely weekend friends!

TGIF + A Little Marigold
. I’m officially lusting over the color marigold. Not necessarily a color I’d gravitate toward, but I’ve seen it done so well on blogs and inspiration boards. Huge fan of it paired with navy or a glamorous red lip. Pretty, right? . In other news, thank god it’s Friday, no? I’ve been consumed by work all week, so I’m looking forward to a weekend with no set plans. I’m hoping to get to the gym, pick up a few things for my upcoming trip to Costa Rica, ordering take-out, and enjoying some warmer weather (let’s cross our fingers). Happy, happy Friday! Although raining and miserable outside I’m looking forward to an exciting weekend. I’m off to see my close friend Amanda get married on Saturday, then spending Sunday catching up on blogs and watching the Niner game #beyondexcited! In other news, I finally got my hair cut! I’m clearly having a moment with all things shiny/sparkly, so this gal in her amazing dress only seems fitting for the first Friday in December (let the holiday festivities begin). Wow, I can’t believe it’s December – boy, time flies! This weekend we’re getting our Christmas tree and searching for brand new stockings. So excited!! With the way things are going, I’m sure they’ll be sequins or glitter on the tree =) Other than a little decorating, I’ll be finishing up a work project, giving myself a much needed mani, working out, and then the bf and I will be heading to dinner at his parents house. With my birthday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas all right around the corner, I can’t help but find myself getting into the holiday spirit! Yes, we haven’t even gotten to Thanksgiving, but I soo don’t mind a little Michael Bublé Christmas music, Starbucks holiday cups, outdoor ice skating downtown, and a decked out Union Square (makes me giddy just writing about it)! So as we head into the weekend, I thought I’d share just a snippet of J.Crew Looks We Love to help bring on the holiday cheer… you know, turtle necks, chunky scarves, a red lip. I don’t know about you, but winter wear always puts me in the mood for hot apple cider, family, and Christmas decorating! This weekend I’ll be tackling all things camera and photography related, catching up on DVR, and rounding up some vegan Thanksgiving recipes. DIY Pumpkins + Happy Friday
Happy Friday loves! Today I bring you my DIY pumpkins inspired by the fabulous Annemarie from Brunch at Saks. I regret not painting the white pumpkin, but I like that it was super easy, with no mess, yet still very cute (going for the polka dot look). My directions: mix the glue and glitter and start painting! And don’t forget to pick up some really cute stickers and have fun with it. . What do you all have planned this weekend? Lots of dressing up and parties? We might be the lamest things ever, but the bf and I aren’t dressing up or going to any Halloween parties… (grandma status I know)! But we did plan a dinner date Monday night. Any excuse to go out for a nice meal on a Monday, I’ll take! Well my dears, have a safe weekend and hope to see lots of costume photos on Monday =)
