Happy Monday! How was your weekend? The bf and I spent Friday making our way home from Portland after a week of eating, drinking, and spending time with family. It’s always great to get away from the every day routine/ all technology and spend quality time with loved ones. Saturday and Sunday were spent catching up on errands and relaxing just in time for the bf’s first day at the new job (today).
I’m definitely all rested and ready to tackle a packed work week. Wishing you all a fabulous Monday =)

Good morning from Portland! I’m still on vacation, but thought I’d share some photos from the weekend. Some of the highlights; Multnomah falls, which was absolutely beautiful, played a round of mini golf with the kiddos, enjoyed a glass of pinot at the Lake Oswego Hills Winery, and tried yummy Pho for the first time. Oh yes, let’s not forget all the gourmet food Mrs. Nicole has been preparing, fabulous I tell ya! So far, loving every second of our time away!

Weekend Recap

I arrived in Portland Saturday morning after an early, but thank god, quick flight. Aside from supper club last night, we’ve kept things pretty low key… board games, chit chat, naps, wine, and shopping. The perfect little remedies during time away!

Short Trip to Portland
I’m off for a short visit to Portland to see family and accompany my sister on her yearly summer vacation with the cousins. I’ll take any excuse to visit these guys =) Excited to take some time away from the everyday routine, enjoy a glass of wine or two, catch up with Nicole, play with the kids, and put the camera to good use. Stay tuned for yummy food photos and the beautiful scenery of Portland! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend and let’s stay positive we have good weather in both cities!
Must SEE and DO in Portland
So, it’s official, I’ll be off to Portland Oregon for Christmas this year. I will be visiting my aunt Nicole, aka my BFF, and her family! I love this city and can’t wait to step off the plane to the smell of winter, and the pinch of a 10 degree wind chill. I’ll truly be going from a bare apartment (all packed up for my move) to the furnishings of a Christmas tree, stockings, decorations, smell of gingerbread houses and munchkins running around. I’ll be reminded of my childhood memories and what this time of year is really about; family, love, giving, and happiness.
I’ve said this plenty of times before, but for all that don’t know, I love the city of Portland. Beautiful, peaceful, friendly, calm, active, great shopping, environmental friendly, and fun eateries; seriously, all of the above. It’s hard to explain to folks here in the Bay Area what Portland is all about because everyone has already made assumptions. But, Portland has everything they have here and more. The scenery is pretty, the people are pleasant, the shopping is amazing (no sales tax), the only thing is, the weather is a bit dreary. It’s similar but SO different, if that makes sense. I’m telling you, I’ll probably be living here in 10 years.
After spending several winters and summers in Portland, specifically, West Linn, I have come to develop must SEE’s and DO’s when I come to visit. Here is a list of things I like to see and do:
Eat at Pizzicato- this is my favorite eatery on earth! They do pizza by the slice and have fabulous salads. I’m obsessed with the Chinese Chop! No joke, I could eat this salad everyday.
