Although I’m not doing a full 2 week long gift guide this year, I did team up with Have to Have to share some of my favorite gifts that I’d love to give and get (wink wink). Above are just some of my picks with the rest being in the widget in my sidebar. To make it even more exciting there’s a $500 shopping on the line. The more products you save the higher your chances are of winning.
How to save products:
- - Simply go through the widget clicking ‘yes’ you Have to Have the item or ‘no’ you don’t.
- - At the end of all 24 products click the button that says SHOP NOW.
- - You will then be taken to Have to Have website. Join for free.
- - This will save your items and will automatically enter you and I in to win a $500 shopping spree.
Easy peasy right? Now go, go win yourself $500! … or just take note and add some of these to your holiday wish list =)
In most cases, we all know someone amongst our friends that loves to cook, or deems themselves the chef of the family. So, what would be the perfect gift for these meticulous, obsessive, perfectionists in the kitchen? You would never think it, but a great cookbook will do wonders; they can try new recipes, and quirky gadgets! I know this because the little chef of our family, my aunt Nicole, just returned from vacationing in Hawaii, and while she was there, couldn’t wait to get back to her KITCHEN. No, not get back to sleep in her own, familiar bed, it was to get back in her kitchen to make the kids pancakes in the morning, and her favorite soups for lunch. I know bizarre, right? But, home chefs are very particular, attached, and compulsive when it comes to cooking, preparing, and hosting in their kitchen.
A must have, and a great holiday gift, for all of our home chefs, is a mandoline like the one featured from Williams-Sonoma. This classic chef’s tool has been updated for home kitchens. For all the novice chefs out there, a mandoline may seem like a gourmet chef’s tool, however, if you’re not burning water or the house down, a mandoline is a helpful device to keep handy to ensure your ingredients are all the same size. It slices ingredients with great precision; varying thickness and shapes, including straight, wavy, crinkle, and julienne. The device will cut your meal prep-time down drastically!
To put gadgets, like the mandoline to use, every chef/cook needs to be equipped with new recipes. Whether it’s baking, sauteing, frying, roasting, or hosting, every cook loves to try out new ingredients or new devices. A great cookbook, like Everyday Italian from Giada De Laurentiis, will not only make your chef happy but you and I get to enjoy the fruits of labor… a great home cooked meal!

I’m pretty sure you have all seen TOMS Shoes. These Shoes, not only help children in need, but they have recently become a bit of a fashion trend. I came across TOMS Shoes last year when I wanted to buy my fellow man friend a pair of white canvas TOMS. You could totally pull them off in dark denim, a plaid button up, or even a simple V-neck. He wasn’t sold on this idea… well at least not yet. But, as TOMS Shoes become more popular, I thnk you’ll see more and more men and women in these comfortable, canvas slip-ons. TOMS also features styles for women, children, and vegans (woohoo).
With every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need. One for One. Shop and give this holiday season; you will be participating in a movement bringing 300,000 plus pairs of shoes to children all around the world.
This is the perfect time of the year to give back to your community or organizations that are making a difference. I recently found this great gift that not only gives back, but has meaning for all who wear them. Braziletsis a bracelet in which you Wear your Wishes. With every bracelet purchased, Brazilets plants one tree in the Brazilian Rainforest as way of giving back. Brazilets have meaning to you too; it’s part of a 200 year-old tradition from mystical Bahia, Brazil. It is known that these bracelets have spiritual significance for all who wear them.
How to: Wrap your Brazilets around your wrist and tie three knots, making a wish with each knot. When your Brazilets naturally fall off, it is believed that your three wishes will come true.
Brazilets are $5 each and come in an assortment of colors: iris, light pink, ocean, chocolate, ruby, lime, black, sunflower, mango, flamingo, leaf green, white.
Give Brazilets this holiday season, and you’ll not only plant a tree in the Rainforest BUT grant someone you love 3 wishes.
As the cold weather sets in, your fashion and style is put to the test. Big coats, boots, and scarves are huge this season. While I was in New York, I caught a glimpse of the infinity scarf. I haven’t really seen it worn around here, but spotted some on several online stores. If you love scarves, then you’ll really adore the infinity scarf. The difference is that the infinity scarf goes on forever, hence the word infinity. It’s not one long knit with two ends, rather it is a circle, with no ends. The greatest thing is, the infinity scarf can be used as a shrug or a hood. In 40 degree weather, the more we can cover up , the better! This is a great gift idea for any of the females in your family… So much for giving, I’m definitely getting one of these!
Check out thelimited.com, they have a light weight Soft Jersey Infinity Scarf $24.50 and a heavier, warmer Shaker Knit with soft yarn $39.50 (with some colors on sale $19.99).
