You’re more likely to challenge yourself and think outside the box to utilize every piece in your closet. You’ll also find out what works on your body and what doesn’t (being able to see your outfit back in a photo can be a game changer). As ‘my’ style continues to grow and evolve I try to learn more about what I gravitate towards, what pieces are staples in my wardrobe, and what can transition from day and night. Like I mentioned before, I try to make every purchase a conscious, well thought out decision (it’s gotta be versatile and work in my closet). Lately, I’ve noticed I gravitate toward what I like to call the third piece. I’m completely dressed and right before I’m out the door I add either a vest, lightweight jacket, or blazer. I not only love layering for the look (you’ll always look a little more pulled together) but also the function (I get cold and the weather in sf is finicky). So, today’s Currently Craving is dedicated to all those third pieces I’d love to have in my closet… the Karl Ossie biker vest is so dreamy (sigh). What are your thoughts on the third piece? Zara basic sandal There are several pieces in this week’s Currently Craving that I’ve been stocking to the point they could be my screensavers. Yes, I’m a sucker for colored denim and will continue to acquire anything with stripes, but that white bcbg necklace is absolutely drool worthy and those black Zara sandals are just to die for! I’ve never been a fan of strappy high heel sandals. Not my style, not me… well, so I thought. I fell in love with these after seeing this gal wear rock them. To say I’m OBSESSED is an understatement. Alright, that’s enough of my rambles for today… I’m off to tackle a shopping trip downtown, with hopes of finding the beloveds from above. As mentioned before (several times and I’m probably over doing it, sorry), I’m off to Costa Rica in less than 10 days! With the thought of my feet in the sand, warm sunshine, and cocktail in hand, it’s only appropriate to dedicate this week’s Currently Craving to my vacation. I’m looking to bring a handful of dresses (I mean I am going for a wedding) and all things bright. Would die to have the Tucker maxi dress above, isn’t the color stunning? I absolutely adore the wide legged trouser. However, every time I try on a pair, I become more and more discouraged. Obviously my 5 foot frame doesn’t help, but I think my legs are just mini. I’m always in awe of those short girls who can pull it off… I guess I need  to put in a little extra effort, perhaps get them taken in and hemmed. So much work, but so worth wearing them with a long sleeve stripe t and all the accessories above! In other news, the bf and I are off to Portland and then a mini trip to Seattle. Hopefully making plans to see Miss Sara of Glitter and Grace =). Hope you all have a great weekend, soaking in the last couple weeks of summer vacation!
