Noteworthy Newbies
{American Eagle midi distressed denim shorts}
{Forever 21 chambray stripe tee shirt}
{By Corpus camo biker jacket}
{H&M Men’s Conscious Collection stripe tee}
{Forever 21 navy linen shorts}
Until recently I hadn’t been to the mall in ages. One, the mall can get you into trouble because you end up buying a lot of random cute pieces you see and not just what you came to buy. Know what I mean? And two, I’m all about the ease of online shopping. Anyway, I picked up several great pieces in the past week worth noting and sharing here on the blog.
AMERICAN EAGLE MIDI DENIM SHORTS- Get to your nearest AE store and stock up on denim shorts. They have a bunch of different styles, but the Midi are my favorite. Not too short, comfortable, and the perfect distressed look. These were on sale too!
FOREVER 21 CHAMBRAY STRIPE TEE- How perfect is this tee? Chambray and stripes together, a no brainer, obviously. I found the reviews on this tee to be off. Not boxy at all, rather a perfect fit.
BY CORPUS CAMO BIKER JACKET- This jacket was a steal at Urban Outfitters, 50% off it’s sale price. One of the greatest things about physically stopping into your favorite retailers is the sale section, especially when it’s a sale on top of a sale. Love finding gems like this one.
H&M MEN’S CONSCIOUS COLLECTION STRIPE TEE- I always take a peek in the Men’s section of most retailers. I browse for Mike, but also for myself. The basics and staples are sooo amazing! The abundance of sweatshirts and stripe tees is too good to pass up. This tee is an xs and has the perfect oversized fit.
FOREVER 21 LINEN SHORTS- These linen shorts are so comfortable and I love the navy color. I know I’ll be living in these all summer.

Revelry
{Manifesto Revelry tee c/o, Zara denim jacket, Topshop skirt (sold out, but similar), J.Crew Sasha pump (similar), vintage Coach shoulder bag}

This post was a struggle to get up today, so I’m going to keep this short and sweet (dumb hosting company). A couple things about this look. One, I’m definitely loving the casualness of the denim jacket and tee paired with the more dressy skirt and pumps. The denim jacket is honestly one of the best ways to dress down anything! Two, I finally found my black vintage Coach bag. After reaching for my large black satchel over and over again, I knew it was time to make the investment in something a little smaller (a little more versatile and on-the-go option). Although it’s the most worn of all my vintage Coach bags, it’s equally loved and one of the best investments I’ve made in a while. The black color with brass hardware is so timeless and works perfectly into my wardrobe.
p.s. how fun is my gold foil revelry tee? Get yours here!

{Mossimo Supply Co. straw hat (on sale!), Asos espadrilles on repeat}
{H&M mens striped tee and my By Corpus camo biker jacket steal from Urban}

{Saturday adventures with Lola}

{the streets of Los Gatos}

{had lunch at Pedro’s. their salsa and margaritas are amazing!}

{such pretty houses and neighborhoods in LG}

{Coach shoulder bag, Zara eyelet dress, and Gap navy crewneck sweater}
How was everyone’s weekend? The weather here was pretty unbeatable, which meant we spent most of the last couple of days outside. Friday night we took Lola out to dinner in Campbell and walked around a little downtown. Saturday we spent the afternoon in Los Gatos, sipping margaritas and watching the pup meet new friends. Yesterday morning I caught up on blog posts and pinned my life away… probably one of my favorite ways to start a Sunday. We had some of Mike’s family over for playtime with Lola and then capped off the night at our friends dog’s birthday party, cake and all, haha.
To top off a great weekend, Lola let us sleep in until 8:30 am on Saturday. Oh man, did it feel good!

New In: Coach Classic Leather Shoulder Bag
{Coach Classic Leather Shoulder Purse}

Welcome the newest Coach bag to my collection, the Classic leather shoulder bag in vermillion! I could not be more excited for this pretty lady. I have been waiting and wanting it for over a year now and finally snagged it for a great price on Ebay. I’m telling you folks, waiting pays off. Most of the ones in this color and style are going for $120 or higher and I got it for a steal at $50, not including shipping. Being a seller on Ebay myself, I’ve noticed sometimes they’re off weeks. An item won’t sell or even be looked at one week and the next week it will have 10 bids. I definitely stole this bag on an off week (hey, somethings gotta give when you’ve been stalking Ebay for a year, right?). The bag is in almost perfect condition and even came with it’s dust bag. Major score. Ebay for the win once again!
Tips on Bidding on Ebay:
- Always, always use the highest bid feature. This allows you to set your absolute highest bid you’re willing to pay for the item and will outbid another bidder automatically until you reach that highest bid. No stress at all.
- Don’t bid until the last 5 minutes (or even less). This brings you into the game late and will catch other bidders off guard and make it harder for them to outbid you.
- If you’re unsure about something, always message the seller. My experience is that they always message back and give helpful feedback. It also helps reassure they’re a trustful seller and are selling you the correct item.
- Do some research to make sure the item isn’t fake. Look at the sellers feedback history. A lot of sellers take selling on Ebay really seriously and want to give the best service/product. Check out what others have said about them. This will give you more confidence when bidding and buying.
Do you use Ebay? If so, Id’ love to hear any tips you have that have worked for you.

Keeping it Casual
{BDG chambray, SheInside shorts c/o, vintage Coach shoulder bag, sandals from random boutique (similar), Mossimo Supply Co. hat}

I was initially hesitant about trying any type of lace/crochet shorts. Lace and scallops together just felt too girly for me. I passed on the trend last year, but after seeing a girl dress them down with a casual chambray recently, I was intrigued again. I snagged this inexpensive pair from SheInside and could not be more pleased with the fit. They aren’t too short or tight, and they’re beyond comfortable. The forgiving elastic waist and soft lace make me feel like I’m running around in my pj’s… not sure if this is a good or bad thing, ha! Sometimes you just have to try whatever it is on. Definitely a fan now.
What are your thoughts on the lace/crochet shorts trend?
