1 Piece 2 Ways

{Left: Old Navy sweater dress, Gap denim vest (similar), Foley + Corinna crossbody bag, Sam Moon necklace Right: Old Navy  jeans & chambray, Michael Kors necklace, Jessica Simpson pumps (old)}

Earlier this week I participated in Jessica Quirk’s What I Wore Winter Remix Challenge. The challenge was to take one piece from our closet and style it two ways. Rather than remix a top or a pair of jeans two different ways, I took it a step further, and styled this Old Navy sweater dress as a dress and sweater. I somehow managed to roll up the extra layers and tuck it under to make for a sweater. A bit bulky, but I think I achieved my overall vision. At the end of this, I learned, when in doubt, buy stripes. They can be reworked in so many ways!
.
Thank you Victoria for sending me the link to this. And Jessica, thank you for hosting such a fun challenge. I’ve also received a ton of new followers and emails and just want to say thank you for your support and for stopping by.

  1. Love the look lady! As stupid as I sound saying this, they’re both similar but so different at the same time. Loving the vest idea – never would’ve tried that!

    Your so itty bitty that bulk wouldnt even matter! However I would look like a blimp! Lol! Great idea though I find myself doing this with a couple of my Zara dresses since the print is so fun! I just might have to take part in this fun challenge ! Great job!

  3. Hi Crystalin, I actually saw your remix on Jessica’s site and I loved how you reworked this dress! Especially considering how long it is, but you can’t tell at all when it’s rolled up. You’ve made me want to get a similar dress!
